Where I am
I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Texas A&M University in August 2026, advised by Prof. Nitesh Saxena in the Security and Privacy in Emerging Systems (SPIES) laboratory. My dissertation, A Neuro-Behavioral Framework for Measuring and Mitigating Human Vulnerability in Cybersecurity, brings three studies together around a single question: what happens to security decisions when the human operator is tired, deceived, or working with a tool that assumes more expertise than they have.
Before the doctorate I taught at university level for several years and spent close to six years in telecommunications and security-systems engineering, including more than three years as CTO of an engineering practice. I am currently seeking a faculty or research position.

Human reliability under adverse conditions
How cognitive fatigue and synthetic media degrade security judgment, measured with EEG, gaze, and behavioral data in controlled within-subject designs.

When the tool asks too much
Longitudinal study of technically prepared students using PGP encryption in a real course, and the accessibility gaps that appear when trust indicators are read by a screen reader rather than seen.

Evaluating machine reasoning
Building and validating evaluation pipelines that use large language models to reason over security research corpora — and studying when people over-trust fluent, confident, incorrect output.
Recent
In the classroom
I have taught face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses, in two different national educational systems, to university students and to mixed-ability adult learners. My working standard is that students understand an idea when they can explain it clearly, apply it, recognize where it fails, and say what they learned from that failure.
I have supervised five undergraduate theses and senior projects from proposal through defense; two of those students now work with me as collaborators and co-authors.
